The nighttime howl of a hound dog kept me awake last night.  It pulled at my heart strings and sent my own dogs (Chewie and Rula, my house sitting mates this week) barking.  It was also a keen reminder that my time in New Zealand is coming to an end… the hound dog was just speaking out loud exactly how I felt inside.

Over the past 3 months, I’ve met my people: people I truly felt connected to and loved spending time with.  I took care of animals I adored and saw scenery I thought only existed in Hollywood movies.

While I lay awake, burdened with an overwhelming sense of sadness at my looming departure date, I started to make the following music video from photographs and footage I’ve compiled in the past month (out of 3) I’ve been in this breathtaking country.
